1、 Get ready


1. For drivers, it is aε<α prerequisite to wear warm clothes.<  They can choose wind-resistant <♠assault jackets or down jackets, and th↔∞ey can choose down rain boots for shoe★★★±s. If you still need to ride a mot★•∞orcycle, you can't have fe∞γ≈★wer helmets and raincoats. T↓←≠he most important thing i¥λ ↔s to cheer up and pay attention±♥α₹ to safety at all times.


2. In winter, a bottl∞​>>e of starting fluid shall be∏←↕≈ brought on the excav≥>∑ator for construction in case of use♣₽.


3. The fuel shall be replaced with the® " corresponding type δ∏of fuel according to the tempera↑↑≤ture in advance. The farth€←er north, the more fuelβ£↓‌ will be added, and the"φ fuel filter shall also be replaced. ↕±The fuel oil shall be selecte>♦§d according to the air temperature. T₩εφ<he diesel oil grade i₽♣s divided according ₽≠₽εto the freezing point of diesel oi∏★σ♦l. At present, the light diesel oil use•✘₽♠d in China is divided into 7 grades ac¶÷cording to the freezing poi≠→nt:


10# diesel: suitable for high-speed di€←¶εesel engines with heat§×ing equipment;


5# diesel: suitable for uδ∏÷se when the temperatuΩ&re is above 8 ℃;


0# diesel oil: suitable for use→® ​ when the air temperature is betwee¥₹&n 8 ℃ and 4 ℃;


-10# diesel: suitable for use when the <​‌↔air temperature is betwe☆>±γen 4 ℃ and - 5 ℃;


-20# diesel: suitable for∏&​ use at - 5 ℃ to - 14 ℃;


-35# diesel: suitable for use at¥$☆ - 14 ℃ to - 29 ℃;


-50# diesel: suitable for use≈€≈λ when the temperature÷↔☆∑ is between - 29 ℃ and ↔→•≤- 44 ℃ or lower, and in Xinjian✔±☆g, Tibet, Heilongjiang and other regi≥'ons.


4. Replace the thickened en↑≈gine oil and engine oπαγil filter. The engine oil need £"s to select the correspo≠<πnding grade according to diff&±erent temperatures:


10W resistance to external low tempφ'<erature - 25 ℃;


15W resistance to exteα₹‌ rnal low temperature÷↓♥ - 20 ℃;


20W resistance to external low temper©$¶σature - 15 ℃.


5. Replace antifreeze


1) The freezing point of anβ←tifreeze shall be selected accordλλδing to the ambient temperature coγ↕©₹nditions. Generally, the anti♦δ♥freeze shall be 10-15 ℃ lower t∞¶han the local environment. If ®δthe local ambient temperature is -  &✔20 ℃, the freezing point of antif☆ reeze shall be less th☆÷ ↔an - 30 ℃.


2) Antifreeze of different brands or b‍πrands shall not be mixed λ•"to avoid chemical reacti€↓∑©on and damage their comprehensi<>ve anti-corrosion ability.α✔♦ Try not to be convenient, but must  ₽​be completely replaced at one time.


3) Four seasons universal anti₹λfreeze is selected. Thisπ$ type of antifreeze has good ↑"long-term stability. It is not only sui★☆‍table in winter, but also can pla§↔y the role of coolant in sum¥$mer. Although the price ‍♣σis slightly higher than the★ β general antifreeze, it is coΩ€φεnducive to the maintenance of the cooli★↕₹ng system and does not need to be '☆replaced frequently.


4) Check the engine cooling sys®¶"tem frequently for lea÷♦kage.



2、 What if the excavator doesn↓δ‍'t start?


There are many reasons why the exc×♣₽€avator can't start in wα✘‌inter. For troubleshooting the ma≈¶ >chine, there are the following c♥π"↓ommon problems.


1. Battery power loss


In winter, the temperature ♣ ←is low, the gap between sulfate ions a₽ nd water molecules i↑♣s large, and the moving speed also  γbecomes slow, which shows thaπ₹t the battery power is insuffiβ$$cient. The maintenan$¥↔​ce of the battery in <♦winter is also very impo®♦rtant. Sometimes it can↕≠ be found that even if the main powe'✔←r switch is turned off before work,←≠ the battery power is still insφφ ufficient the next day. The safest way✘  is to remove the batt¥"≥★ery after work and store it in a c♦∏ool and dry place, but thi↓™s method should also be adopted accor✘γding to the weather cond€∞itions, especially when iε≥t is cold and snowy.


2. Insufficient preheat♦ ing


Generally, preheating §π§εis divided into two ™£methods: air preheating and combust​‍★ion chamber glow plug heatinσ¥•"g. Ordinary engines are air prehea∞←‍‍ting. We can find that the old excavato∞'&rs did not have preheating ©β♥function in the past ®α"<and often need to spray starting fluid ππ≈↑to help preheat. Howev€↑er, many new machine£>← s now have this function, usually at >ε∏the cab start switch, bef®γ• ore the excavator is started♠ ≠♦, Generally, warm up for 5-10 minuδλ÷λtes before starting the exc¥δavator.


3. The bottom of the dieseβ↔₹Ωl tank is frozen, re↓‍×sulting in blocked oil circuit


Usually, this proble'$×↔m can be avoided by disch₹∑εarging the water before it is froΩ₩zen. In winter, we are used↔≠ ≥ to adding antifreeze to th♥×≤"e excavator, but we s↑σα​hould pay attention not ®₩÷☆to mix it with water, otherwise ¥♦the effect will be greatly reduced'∑≤×. In some places in the south, t♦π §he temperature is not low, and th®✔☆→ere are only a few days δδ"in rainy and snowy days. Be§‌♦ fore the rain and snow comes, it i¶•₩>s only necessary to discharge the cooli♣≥→ng water. However, it shoσ★"©uld be noted that be‌←fore flameout, run at idle speed. When ✔✔ ♦the cooling water temperature drops be↕£¶↑low 60 ℃ and the water is not hot☆", turn off the engine and discharge theΩ™ water. Install the discharge'∏ <d water in a bucket and put it in the €εcab. It is also possibα↓le to add it the next day. 4. The oil viscosity is too high


High oil viscosity can caus​"♠♦e:

1) It is difficult t↓©π'o start the engine at low temperatu★™∑♣re. When the engine starts€↑ at low temperature, the o∞≥β♣il flow resistance i♣♦‍s too large and the oil fe★₽αeding is slow. Althou♠ gh the oil pressure display i≥'€$s high enough, the t® ime from engine start to oil enter<‍♣ing the friction surface i÷ε©s too long and the wear is seriousl™σy increased due to the poor pumping £♦βperformance of the oil.

2) Because the oil viscosity is too l ©arge, the torque requir ÷ ed for crankshaft rotation iΩ≥α​s too large and the speed is low '♣when the engine is sta→€rted, which directly causes the diff÷∑βiculty of ignition.

3) High power loss and high viscosity <± ₹of engine oil increase the fr♠™€iction resistance bet ¥¶☆ween parts and increase the f∑™®riction loss power; At th→∑e same time, the resistan₹→α"ce of the crankshaft to stir ‌≠the oil will also increase, which redu‌€εces the efficiency of the♠↑< engine.


If the engine oil viscosity↔∞♥§ is too high to start, λ↓contact the corresponding engine oil in↔™∑♦ time.



3、 Wrong method

1. Start with open flame

3. Choose fuel at wil™ l


The low temperature in winter makes₽÷≥" the fluidity of diesel worse, the viσ♥ λscosity increases, it is not ♥♦easy to spray, resulting in po∞£or atomization. Therefore, the model o≥λf diesel should be s&↕elected according to 7-10 ℃ l ★↔αower than the local min<"λ‌imum temperature in the cuγ<rrent season.
